Routes and Drills

Some of the basic drills will be:

Stance (proper stance for getting off the ball quick, proper stance to get off of press coverage)
•Releasing from the line of scrimmage techniques
• Alignment
• FootworkProper hand and body position
• Looking the ball in
• Soft handsAdjusting to the ball while it is in flight including hard to catch passes
• Ball protection during and after the catch
• Yards after the catch
• North/South
• Adjusting routes to coverage
• Reading the blitz and flare control/hot receiver Hand/eye position in relation to body position and the flight of the ball
• Before the catch
• During the catch
• After the catch
